RxAutoImage

RxAutoImage™ Series |

RxAutoImage for AutoCAD solves the problem of
incorporating scanned raster data into a CAD environment by
bringing scanned drawings directly into AutoCAD and providing
raster clean-up, CAD-style raster editing and raster to vector
conversion to facilitate revision and new drawing production.
RxAutoImage™ Series is the most effective way to modify existing
drawings still stored on paper or aperture cards. Over 50% of
new designs are based on drawings that exist only in paper
format. RxAutoImage™ Series solves this problem by bringing
scanned drawings directly into AutoCAD as raster data and
providing raster clean-up, CAD-style raster editing and raster
conversion to facilitate revision and new drawing production.

RxAutoImage for AutoCAD allows the use of
scanned color and monochrome raster data inside AutoCAD®.
Versions for AutoCAD® 2000/2000i/2002 and AutoCAD LT®
2000/2000i/2002 both deliver the same functionality. RxAutoImage
for AutoCAD offers raster editing, raster snap and raster
selection methods that function as effectively as with vectors.
As a result, raster editing becomes a natural part of the CAD
environment when AutoCAD is combined with RxAutoImage for
AutoCAD. |

To convert a
raster symbol, line, arc or circle to a vector object it is
necessary to pick a point on the source raster object. There are
several options for how to treat the source raster object - to
delete or to keep it. To convert raster hatching to a vector
object it has to be crossed by a selection line. Arbitrary
curves are converted to AutoCAD polylines. A color and grayscale
image has a reduced set of primitives to convert to vector. They
are: polylines, lines, arcs and circles. Many technical drawings
contain conventional graphic symbols: maps, plans, electric
circuits, hydraulic and processing schemes. The symbol
recognition of RxAutoImage for AutoCAD is based on an expert
system. It is possible to train the program to recognize any
graphic symbols, make a selection by picking, search and
replace, and convert raster symbols to vector blocks and
symbols. Raster symbols may differ from the specified template
by orientation and scale, and the program will automatically
define the required parameters for inserting the vector block |
